What we liked
- + Soft rubber mesh with small holes is described by the manufacturer as gentle on fish and tangle-free.
- + Wood frame and handle weigh about 0.75 lb and, per the manufacturer, float if dropped.
- + Magnetic release and a coiled lanyard keep the net on the angler's back until needed.
Trade-offs
- - At 23.6 inches long it suits trout and panfish better than big pike or salmon.
- - Wood and rubber construction is lightweight but adds a net to carry, which some wade anglers skip.
