What we liked
- + Covers mayfly and caddis dries, streamers, leeches, wet flies and terrestrials, so one box spans several situations.
- + Arrives already loaded in a fly box with a magnetic fastener, so it works as a gift right out of the package.
- + Targets trout, bass, panfish and steelhead, which suits a recipient whose home water you do not know.
Trade-offs
- - Patterns and sizes are shown only in the listing photos, so check them against what the angler fishes locally.
- - A mixed assortment will not match the exact hatches on every river.
