Wild Water 7-piece 9ft 5wt fly fishing kit, a highly packable beginner outfit that fits in small bags.
Price range: $ (Budget)
What we liked
- + 7-piece rod packs extremely short for backpacking and travel
- + 5wt 9ft spec keeps it versatile for trout and panfish
- + Wild Water kit includes the essentials needed to start fishing
Trade-offs
- - Many ferrules add weight points and need checking during a session
- - Extra sections can make the action feel less smooth than rods with fewer sections
