What we liked
- + Medium-fast action rod is pitched at dry flies first, yet handles nymphs, buggers and indicators
- + Crosswater reel with carbon disc drag arrives with dacron backing, RIO Mainstream line and a RIO leader
- + Everything packs into the included nylon case, so it works as a grab-and-go outfit
Trade-offs
- - Listing calls the rod medium-fast in one bullet and medium in another, so the exact action is unclear
- - Crosswater reel has a composite frame, not the machined aluminum found on pricier reels
