Aventik DJ Fly Reel Super Large Arbor Fly Fishing Reel Fresh and Salt Water Aluminum (Black 3/5)
Aventik DJ super large arbor aluminum fly reel in black 3/5 size, a budget reel rated for fresh and salt water.
Price range: $ (Budget)
What we liked
- + Super large arbor speeds up line pickup and reduces coil memory
- + Aluminum body stands up to fresh and salt water use with a rinse after trips
- + 3/5 size suits the light and mid trout rods most anglers own
Trade-offs
- - Budget drag lacks the sealed protection of premium saltwater reels
- - Too small for heavy saltwater lines despite the salt water rating
