Maxcatch Predator Saltwater Fly Fishing Rod: 9ft, 4-Piece, 8wt
Maxcatch Predator 9ft 4-Piece 8wt saltwater fly rod, a budget heavy rod for bass, redfish and pike.
Price range: $ (Budget)
What we liked
- + 8wt power pushes bulky flies and handles strong saltwater fish
- + Predator series is designed with saltwater use in mind
- + Maxcatch pricing makes a heavier rod affordable for occasional trips
Trade-offs
- - Budget saltwater components need rinsing to keep guides corrosion-free
- - Rod only, so a saltwater-ready reel must be bought separately
