What we liked
- + Listed UPF 50+ fabric blocks 98 percent or more of UVA and UVB rays, with a large flap covering the neck
- + Mesh vents through the crown and back flap let air move on hot days
- + Chin strap is adjustable or removable, and a rear drawstring fits heads from 22 to 23.62 inches
Trade-offs
- - Has a neck flap but no face cover, so cheeks and nose still need sunscreen or a gaiter
- - Single size range of 22 to 23.62 in. may not fit very small or very large heads
