What we liked
- + Fluorocarbon material is nearly invisible in water, useful for wary trout.
- + 5X rated at 4.5 lb on a 30 yard spool is a sensible all-round trout size.
- + Cortland is an established fly line and leader maker.
Trade-offs
- - The listing is very brief and gives no knot strength or diameter figures.
- - Costs more than nylon spools such as RIO Powerflex for the same length.
