Flying Fisherman P036 Passport 9' 8WT travel fly rod, a packable heavy rod meant for fishing trips and destination salt.
Price range: $ (Budget)
What we liked
- + Passport travel design packs down for flights to saltwater destinations
- + 9' 8WT spec covers bonefish, redfish and big bass
- + Affordable way to take a heavier rod on vacation without risking a premium one
Trade-offs
- - Travel sections add ferrules that need regular checks when casting hard
- - Lesser-known fly brand, so blank refinement is modest
